I recently purchased two copies of The Girl And The Dog to give as Christmas gifts to friends. When one of the friends lost her little dog quite suddenly I felt drawn to sending this beautiful book to her now rather than wait for Christmas. She contacted me today to say how much she loves it and how it has given her comfort after losing her beloved little dog.
